Things to consider before booking an Ice bath and Infra-red Sauna:

Before taking an Ice Bath or Infra-red Sauna, consult your doctor, especially if you have existing health conditions like heart issues, low blood pressure or are pregnant.

Ice Bath: Start gradually with warmer water (between 10-18 degrees Celsius) and shorter durations (e.g., 1-5 minutes), then decrease temperature and increase time as your tolerance grows.

Infra-red Sauna: It's crucial to stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water before and after your session. Avoid alcohol, which can increase dehydration. Start with shorter sessions (5-10 minutes) at lower temperatures (45-50 degrees Celsius) to allow your body to adjust. Always listen to your body, if you feel unwell, get up slowly and hydrate.

Ice Bath/Infra-red Sauna: You should always ensure you are well-hydrated. We will provide you with bottled water before your appointment. There is a clock in the room to check your time while in the Ice Bath. Time spent in the Ice Bath should be only 10 minutes; Sauna no more than 40 minutes.

Other Things to Consider Before and After:

1. Avoid using an Ice Bath or Infra-red Sauna if you have symptoms of an illness, such as fever or flu, as the rapid change of temperature can worsen your condition.

2. Remove Jewellery and Make-up to allow your skin to be fully exposed to the cold or heat.

3. Sit or lie down with your body exposed to the infrared waves to absorb the heat.

4. Cool Down and allow your body to cool down gradually after exiting the Infra-red Sauna. Warm up and allow your body to warm up slowly after using the Ice Bath.

5. Rehydrate: Drink water or an electrolyte beverage to replenish fluids lost.

6. Shower: Take a warm shower to wash away sweat and any "toxins" that may have been perspired out.

7. Wear Loose Clothing: Change into loose-fitting clothing to allow your body to continue cooling down comfortably.
